Angela has over 8 years of experience in commercial litigation during which time she has focused predominantly in practice areas of personal and corporate insolvency, property law, strata management, and corporate and personal debt recoveries, both in the secured and unsecured space.
Prior to specialising in commercial litigation Angela worked in general practice, which has given her the ability to understand clients’ commercial needs outside of litigation, and bring a holistic approach to her practice of law.
Angela has spent the majority of her time as a lawyer heading up the insolvency practice group of her former firm, acting primarily for trustees and liquidator in complex litigation ranging from Local Court matters through to the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal and the Federal Courts. Heading up the insolvency practice has also seen Angela working through and overseeing not only the litigious matters but the day to day matters that arise for liquidators and trustees, including conveyancing of residential and commercial properties, complex transactional arrangements, issues arising with deceased estates and other matters as they arise throughout various jurisdictions.
Angela has also been able to utilise her litigation experience in other areas of commercial litigation including building and construction defect litigation which was heard before the High Court.
Angela’s experience gives her the ability to provide her clients with a results driven approach while also facing the challenges of litigation head on.
Angela has also spent time teaching with the Australian National University in their post graduate law courses when she has time away from her busy practice.
Being fluent in Italian has also enabled Angela to assist clients from a non-English speaking background in resolving their legal disputes and navigating their way through the legal System.
With this addition, we now have a national presence of four (4) partners and over 45 staff across our Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth offices.
